It was an afternoon at my remote office - you know - Starbucks in Gettysburg. I was meeting with Ashten to discuss her wedding vision and the possibility to design the perfect invitation suite for her. And guys, this seriously turned out to be one of my most favorite meetings ever! Ashten and her mom met with me together, which is pretty typical for brides-to-be! I just LOVE meeting moms and having them in on the process. We laughed almost the entire time, and when they left I immediately thought "I can only wish for a relationship like that with my daughters."
I knew that her investment was of importance to Ashten and her mom, and I was honored when they chose me to make their vision a reality!
Ashten had a beautiful, wine/berry color palette to work with for her wedding invitation suite. She loved florals, so I wanted to incorporate not just any flowers; but ones that are meaningful to her wedding!
While designing, I thought that the invitations would just POP with the foil-stamping of some shiny gold... and that certainly did not fail! Ashten was totally down to include this fine printing technique on both her Save the Date and her Invitation suite.

Behind the scenes, mom and I also got to build a relationship together. She was amazingly thoughtful and had the greatest ideas for Ashten's wine-themed bridal shower. It was so fun to create coordinating shower invitations and gift tags for the shower at Brookemere Winery and Tasting Room!
Lastly, mom also helped me rally people together who are very close to Ashten. As a gift to her, I created an heirloom chest filled with goodies and for her to keep her entire suite from her wedding together. I also collected letters from those closest to her with the intent for her to read on the night before her wedding. There is nothing sweeter than hand-written letters from those who love you the most!
To me, this is the BEST part of the custom design process and building a relationship with my clients. Though her wedding was six short months ago, I miss her family dearly!
